The Martin Residence is a Mid-Century Modern condo located in downtown Fargo, ND. It is furnished with many mid-century pieces and includes many custom elements. It has all custom cabinetry, a custom kitchen island, light fixture, floating bench, reading nook, and entry closet.

There are also many elements that allow this to be an aging in place home, which was a request from the Martin's.

This space was designed to meets the needs and interests of the Martin's such as a music, hosting guests (up to 8), and cooking frequently.

**This project was the last project with hand drafted construction documents (our first full set) and hand rendered perspectives. 

 

Design Concept

The Martin Residence is the epitome of mid-century modern luxury. Located in downtown Fargo, ND. It was built to be an aging in place residence. It features many components that make it accessible for all ages or abilities. Through the space you will find universal and sustainable aspects such as LED lighting, natural light in the frequently used spaces, as well as water conservative appliances and plumbing fixtures that boost safety and functionality. 

            The space is a social setting featuring a layout accommodated for entertaining guests. The open concept between the kitchen, dining room, and living room provides for a welcoming environment. The colors featured throughout the space are bold and exciting, but also warm & comforting. There will be natural elements such as plants and sustainable materials to provide for more awareness of nature. All aspect of the home will present an open and welcoming home.
